Richard Braintree is a cranky middle-aged man who carries a revolver around with him. He lived in room 207 of South Ashfield Heights for atleast 30(?) years, until his death via electric chair, courtesy of one Walter Sullivan, who also carved ‘19121’ onto his forehead. (19121 being “victim 19 out of 21”) He was renowned for “being a prick” (as one tennant puts it), shouting at kids, and beating up / stripping a perverted stalker named Mike many years ago, prior to the game’s events. Walter (being only a small child at this time) saw him holding Mike’s bloody clothes, and quite possibly thought that he had killed the guy!
Sometime after his electrocution, he comes back as a ghost, in building world, to attack Henry. His ghost is as you’d expect for a victim of electrocution — His skin, hair and clothes are blackened, and quite a bit fried. His movements are erratic and jerky, he can walk in slow motion and in fast forward, he wields a crowbar and he can also teleport.
In-game, he wears a blue pinstripe shirt, a decorative tie, beige slacks, and brown shoes. He also has a pouch to hold ammo in, attached to his belt.
Other Things to Note:
My version of Richard is somewhat in a state of being “half alive”, and thus retains the numbers on his head. Also note that he can turn into his electrified ghost form either at will, or without warning. (usually preceded with a nosebleed.) He lives in an otherworldly version of room 207, calls everyone younger than him “Kid” and his chest is wrapped in bandages. His revolver was also given back to him by Henry.
